On the afternoon of Sunday 4th March 2018, 43191 (dead) and 43196 working 5Z77 15:53 Exeter Riverside to Laira set off the Wheel Impact Load Detector near Exminster, limiting the set to 20 mph. The HST came to a stand on Dainton and after managing to limp to Totnes the train was rescued by 43198 and 43181 sent up from Laira depot.
